Ontario Home Renovation Savings Program Details

 

• $100 per ENERGY STAR® certified window or door (opening), applicable to both double- and triple-pane windows. Replacing existing ENERGY STAR certified models will not qualify. Eligibility Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 windows, 1 door, or 1 sliding door must be replaced to qualify.

• Replacing the entire unit (including the frame) remains a requirement for eligibility.

• No Minimum ER 34 Requirement: The previous Energy Rating (ER) minimum of 34 is no longer necessary. As long as the product is ENERGY STAR certified, it qualifies for the rebate.

• A maximum of $600 for a home energy assessment, which is mandatory to unlock rebates.

• Open to homes heated with Enbridge Natural Gas and electric heating systems connected to the Ontario grid.

• To qualify for the rebate, homeowners must take advantage of (2) or more upgrades. This includes attic, basement, crawl space, exposed floor and exterior wall insulation, windows and/or doors, air sealing and hot water heat pumps (DHWHP).

 

Canada Greener Homes Loan

 

• Homeowners can pair the rebate with the Canada Greener Homes Loan, which offers up to $40,000 in interest-free financing for energy-efficient upgrades, repayable over 10 years.

 

Important Reminders for Dealers

 

• ENERGY STAR Stickers: Ensure all ENERGY STAR stickers remain on the windows or doors until the homeowner’s final audit is complete. These stickers are essential for rebate validation.
